I'm excited to take over the helm of the Tri club again. This is my second time to be President and I'm looking forward to an exciting year. We have many things planned for the year such as weekly training sessions, guest speakers, clinics, gear reps showing off their "stuff" and social events.

The triathlon race season is well underway. The Willamette Valley Triathlon Club is dedicated to promoting the sport of triathlon in the Mid-Willamette valley. Come join us! Many of our members have already competed in the pool swim races that happen in April and May. Now we have moved to the open water swims.

The club participated in the Blue Lake Olympic Distance Club/Team Championship on Sunday, June 12 in Portland. "Team Green" had a tremendous turn out. Several were doing their first olympic distance and many more were unsure about their training for that distance. In the end though, the momentum created by the team was too hard to resist and people signed up to be a part of the experience. This race is now firmly cemented into our club calendar as a must do event. Complete with an after the race BBQ, everyone had a great time. I hope this inspires you to become a member and come out and join us.
